Horticultural Site Manager: Residential Maintenance
We are looking for a passionate individual that has well developed technical skills in horticulture and strong customer relations abilities to manage one of our upmarket residential maintenance accounts.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Horticulture with at least 3 years hands-on post grad experience in high spec residential maintenance.
- Ability to give sound garden advice. Design and quote on upgrades and small scale new garden beds for very demanding clients. Co-ordinate and install small scale landscaping to high standards.
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license (minimum code 8 but preferably Code 10) with at least two years regular practical on the road driving experience.
- Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in English.
- Good plant knowledge and ability to identify Alien Invasive species.
- Very high attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Interface with diplomacy and tact with very demanding clientele in order to develop and maintain sound relationships for the company with our clients.
- Knowledge and competency of labour relations and health and safety (including disciplining staff).
- Ability to train, lead and motivate staff in order for employees to perform their duties successfully and efficiently. The focus is to build strong, happy teams.
- Willingness to be hands-on and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
- Problem solver able to handle pressure and think on your feet.
- Administrative duties eg timebook, reports, submitting hours for wages, etc.
- Knowledge of petrol driven equipment, chemicals and care of tools.
- Good housekeeping habits and punctuality.
